Community Rail Line Officer
Coastal Lines -Covering Seaford to Brighton , part Sussex Coast & Marshlink Lines
Salary: £22,906.54 p.a.
35 hours

The Southeast Communities Rail Partnership (SCRP) is seeking to appoint a motivated and competent person for this interesting, challenging, and exciting role.  You will work to develop projects and engage the local communities along the 3 railway lines, gain funding for projects, encourage participation from under-represented groups and work on active travel projects, handle marketing and communications and support station adoption groups.  You will also develop a Try a Train project, encouraging marginalised groups to travel by train.  You will also support SCRP to deliver the East Sussex County Council Active Access for Growth programme.  The Line Officer will be home based and will work with the existing team of Line Officers with all aspects of developing, sustaining, and taking forward Community Rail Projects.

We require a self-motivated person with a proven track record in working with and inspiring people, excellent project management and communication skills, experience of working with partners and community engagement, and an interest in sustainable transport.  You will work with established Line Steering Groups, managing their meetings and ensuring the groups are representative of the communities located along the lines.

Some evening and weekend work will be required. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.
