Arun Valley
The Arun Valley Rail Line provides a link between the Sussex coast and Gatwick Airport to London and beyond, crossing right through the centre of the South Downs National Park. It provides rail access to Arundel, Pulborough and Billingshurst, the employment and shopping centres of Horsham, Crawley and Chichester, and the coastal resorts of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. For more detailed information on what sights and destinations the Arun Valley has to offer rail passengers please go to ‘publications’ where you can download the Arun Valley Line guide, alternatively go to the 'Contact Us' section where you can request that one be sent to you.
Community rail on the Arun Valley line brings together diverse local organisations and individuals, including local parishes, district councils and the County Council, local user groups, bus companies, environmental and social groups and businesses. We work together to promote the line to schools, commuters and for tourist and leisure use, we also work closely with the train operating company, Southern Rail, to make improvements to stations and station access, to promote station partnerships, and to run events.
Working on the local lines to improve services, and to encourage greater use.
