Professionals will value your antiques at Bridge Cottage event

If you are intrigued to know the value of some of your prized possessions professionals will be on hand to advise you at an event at Bridge Cottage next week.

An antiques valuation day is due to take place on Wednesday, October 17, from 10am to 3pm and experts from Gorringe’s Auctioneers of Lewes will be there to look at ceramics, jewellery, paintings, glass, toys, and anything else you might like to bring, as long as it isn’t too bulky.

There will also be an opportunity for visitors to look around the recently restored Bridge Cottage.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Admission is free of charge but donations are welcome to help with the work of the Uckfield and District Preservation Society which looks after Nutley Windmill and Bridge Cottage.

For more information please contact Liz Penton at liz@bridgecottageuckfield.co.uk.

Bridge Cottage is directly opposite Uckfield station so not far to go with your precious items

The Floral Fringe Fair at Amberley Museum

An eclectic, quirky, foodie, arty, plantaholics wildlife event with classic cars, a vintage and a Steampunk twist!
For 2019 the fair has made an unexpected and very exciting move to Amberley Museum where it will be staged amongst the exhibits at the museum in the chalk pit on June 1st and 2nd 2019. The fair itself remains the same. Steampunk and vintage are two featured themes and people are encouraged to come dressed in these styles! A steam train will be running especially for the weekend.

Of course travel to the museum is very easy as the railway station is right outside the museum.
