Hamstreet Station on the Marshlink line offers a great starting point for exploring the Marshes either walking or cycling. The woodlands also add to the activity. Hamstreet has also had its fame, appearing on every postage stamp in map form in the UK and on BBC TV’s ‘Countryfile’ to commemorate 200years of Ordance Survey, because Hamstreet area was the first to be mapped. Hamstreet also featured on ‘Blue Peter’.All routes begin at the village crossroads (300yds south of the Station).
