Volunteers’ Week 2017

Volunteers’ Week 2017 is from 1-7 June – your chance to join thousands of others across the country in telling your volunteers ‘you make the difference’! Get creative with the resource pack, which includes loads of materials like logos, bunting and poster templates, as well as all the information you need to make your event a success. If you’ve not yet done so, sign up on the Volunteers’ Week website to receive your pack. If you’re planning a celebration this year, please add your event to NCVO’s events map using the online form.

In East Sussex, Volunteer East Sussex (VCES), is backing a county-wide campaign to encourage more people to get involved in their local communities and voluntary activities. The campaign will particularly look to highlight that someone does not necessarily need to give huge amounts of time, or an ongoing commitment to get involved and will offer practical assistance with how to go about it. Look out for good news stories in local press highlighting how people have got involved. As part of the campaign, VCES would also like to highlight some of the numerous activities aimed at celebrating volunteering, that volunteer-involving organisations will be staging during Volunteers Week and if you would like to tell us about what you are doing, please email lee.shepherd@vces.org.uk with details of your event(s).
