Volunteers from Network Rail arrived in Rye to clean up the John Ryan garden and tidy up the shrubs at the front of the station. The volunteers give up a day of being in the office to offer something back to the local community. This is the second visit the volunteers have made, the first, three years ago was to clear the area known as the John Ryan garden, so that a seating area could be put in place with flowers and shrubs.
