Sussex Community Rail Partnership Ltd

We are a not for profit company limited by guarantee. Our official registered in England company number is 6731176 our registered office is at The Old Rectory, Litlington, Polgate, East Sussex, BN26 5RB and are VAT no is  971 7213 15.

We have four directors including a finance director and chairman who form the company Board.

This Board looks after the day to day running of the Company, whlist the Stakeholder Board, made up of our partners sets the strategic objectives of Sussex Community Rail Partnership.

Then a local Steering Group for each line works with the Development Officer to achieve the things which are identified as important to the partners and local communities.

Who are our Partners?  

Southern Railway are are main funding partner. County Councils in the area we operate are also often funding partners. The county council in our area are East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent and Surrey.

District and Parish Councils are also important partners along with rail user groups, tourism bodies and community groups.

Network Rail and Passenger Focus are particularly valuable to the partnership at the Stakeholder Board level.  

Finally, we think we are pretty unusual as Community Rail Partnerships go as we have an airport, Gatwick, as a key partner on the Arun Valley Steering Group.
