is a rural market town situated just outside the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The river Uck flows through the town. Until the 1850s, with the advent of the railway, Uckfield was a small village . It has now grown into the market town that we see today. The High Street boasts a number of shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, a leisure centre and a cinema .
